Our real secret to optimal health is to have the healthiest cells that we can. Our body is made up of billions and billions of cells. Our body is the best defense system we have against disease and infection and our immune system is like a tremendous army that we have in our defense against disease and infection. So what is going to nourish those cells? Three things:
Water and oxygen are pretty obvious, hopefully you are drinking lots of water and it is distilled or filtered water. So our focus is on the nutrients - what kind of nutrients are you taking. The theory is, studies are showing, that Americans (90-93% of us) are deficient in nutrients and don't even meet the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) was developed back in the 1940's. The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) is the minimum amount needed to prevent a deficiency disease. It is not the optimal amount for health; the consensus is that those recommendations are very low. That combined with the fact that almost all of us are not even meeting it is a pretty scary statistic. So are we getting the nutrients we need? No we are not - not most of the time. NEXT
